Direct advertising is accepted. If you’re interested in reaching approximately 20,000 wine-loving consumers each month (stat as of June 2013), contact us. We also run advertisements from the Palate Press Advertising Network. These are pay-per-click ads, and we have no control over the content of what appears in this section of Terroirist.com.
We love our readers. And we want our readers to comment. But we do have a few rules.
First, we don’t like anonymity. So be sure to include your name and email address if you’re going to leave a comment. Second, be respectful. If comments are threatening, off topic, profane, offensive, or rude, we’ll delete them. Finally, don’t include links in your comments if your only intention is to promote your own blog or product. If you’d like to be added to our blog roll, just contact us.
Samples are accepted. While virtually everything tasted is reviewed on the site, no guarantees are made. Most wines received are reviewed single-blind and scored on the 100-point scale. We do publish critical reviews. Reviews are posted on most Saturdays.
If you submit wines for review, please label each bottle with a sticker that includes a CellarTracker link and the U.S. retail price. If a wine is bottled under traditional cork, consider sending two bottles. Corked wines will not be re-tasted.
Our shipping address is as follows:
1722-A Wisconsin Ave NW
Washington, DC 20007
Finally, to avoid the possibility of heat damage, samples are not accepted from June through mid-September. If samples are received during this period, they will not be reviewed. If it’s critical to send your wine during the summer months, please contact us in advance for shipping instructions.
Please note that the Terroirists aren’t for sale. If we’re writing about something we’ve received for free, we’ll let our readers know. And we’ll be honest about our impressions. None of the Terroirists have any financial stake in any wine store, winery, wine distributor, or wine importer.
If you have any questions, just contact us.
