In the San Francisco Chronicle, Jon Bonné pays homage to Madeira, explaining how the wine is undergoing a “renaissance of sorts.”

At Palate Press, Michelle Locke looks at the move toward cooler climate viticulture in Chile. In Chile’s warmer climates, I’ve always thought Concho y Toro makes some phenomenal Chards and Cabs for the price — so I’m certainly excited to taste some Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc from Chile.

Husband and wife team Yvonne and Tom Pehlan take to the Wall Street Journal to explain why (and how) they decided to pursue their Napa Valley dream in Argentina. Perhaps I should move.

Wine writer, blogger, and twitter addict W.R. Tish writes a long piece on the importance of social media in the beverage industry. That reminds me — get ready for the Terroirist facebook page, coming in January.
